Dr. Richard Ecker, a board certified dermatologist serving McMinnville, OR and Newberg, OR,  provides medical and surgical dermatology care, as well as cosmetic skin treatments, to patients throughout the Yamhill Valley and along the Oregon Coast. He has over 30 years of experience as a dermatologist and specializes in the treatment of skin cancer (MOHS surgery) and non-invasive skin rejuvenation/enhancement techniques. Dermatologist Dr. Richard Ecker

Dr. Ecker began his education by earning a degree in biology from the University of Michigan and followed this with MD degree at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.  After 2 years of training in internal medicine at the MSU Affiliated Southwest Michigan Medical Center in Kalamazoo, he completed a 3 year dermatology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota.  This was followed by a post-residency preceptorship with Dr. Fred Mohs in Madison, Wisconsin.  After beginning his dermatology practice in McMinnville, he received a Masters Degree of Business Administration from Portland State University.  He is a Past-President of the Oregon Dermatology Society and former Vice President of the Oregon Medical Association.  He has done extensive medical missionary service in Central America and Africa.
